About DISC
All DISC behavioral theories, tests and assessments have their origin from the research of Professor William Moulton Marston PhD.
The theory was further developed and enhanced with assessment tools by various researchers and practitioners over the years.
One of the key contributor to an assessment tool is Walter Vernon Clarke, an industrial psychologist who introduced the 81-adjectives based assessment, the Activity Vector Analysis or AVA.
The other key researcher who contributed significantly to a DISC related assessment tool is John Cleaver, an industrial engineer who introduced the 24 forced-choice questionnaire based assessment, the Self-Description Assessment.
Due to the continuous enhancement by these amazing people who were dedicated to the better understanding of human behavior, the DISC theory and related assessments remain open to further enhancements.
Today, a standard DISC Behavior Report will provide an insight into people's behavior in three different environments.
Work
How do people modify their behavior when they are at their workplace?
Under Pressure
What do they do when they are under pressure?
Home
What is their natural behavior in their personal environment?
